Eco Travel Trailer?

Anyone have one, seen one, knows how to build one? My husband is designing a concept for a 'green', eco-travel trailer. He is studying sustainable architecture and getting his certification in Building Biology & Ecology (a 'house doctor') and my brother started The Green Car Company here in Seattle (and we got a Biodesiel Suburban and I love to travel among my many other skills... put it all together and we might come up with something but it would be great to get some leads, resources or know if anyone's ever done it successfullly. It shouldn't be that hard concidering RVs are pretty energy effecient and low footprint by nature. But to be able to use healthy and green materials in a reasonably cost effective way could be the challenge. Anyone have good contacts, links, avenues to investigate?

We might try to pull this off by Burning Man since the theme this year is The Green Man. Is that totally unreasonable. Encouragement or Perspective Please. ;-)

sounds like a great project. I bought a 84 motorhome its a Ford with a 6.9 L diesel, for burning man last year and then to use as a home base for my art residency program in Mendocino. All was well untill the rains came, even though I sealed the roof, and around the windows water still got in. My planned upgrades will have to be posponed and the mold will have to be delt with. So if you are going to redo a trailer make sure it does not leak to start with. look for dry rot under the paneling. The structure must be sound before you do the inside. I was looking for a step van when I found the motor home. and well I should have gone with a step van or box truck. they are made much better then an RV. For a trailer look at airstream and scampy (fiberglass shell). For the interior I have been looking at bamboo flooring and bamboo plywood as an eco friendly material. look at www.plyboo.com some great stuff. Also recycled denum insulation could be great in rv's but I have not heard of anyone doing it. Some thing to look into. The great thing about redoing an rv is the small space. means less $. Please let me know how your search is going and I will do the same.
    good luck
