These folks had been attacked and partially burned out by the Mexican army. We dropped off a couple thousand lbs of beans, rice, sugar, oil.,etc. 1998. There were three young guys there, gringos from Europe who were acting as "observors" to keep the indigenous people from getting attacked again

Cool Bus III in disgrace

Well, I guess the 300 dollar bus was too good to be true. Caveat emptor from buses formerly owned by Dos palos Unified. Scattered an engine in Las Cruces, rebuilt in in El Paso. Spent $2700 in two weeks keeping her running and shod. Learned to rebuild a 180 Cummns diesel. Cool and Very Dirty experience.

I took this bus full of aid to Chiapas (mexico), and donated 14,000 lbs of aid (tools, wheelchairs, medical stuff, farm stuff, school supplies, etc.) to the Indians who are in rebellion against the mexican govt. (aka Zapatistas)
